The Question I Never Though I’d Have To Answer

Why Not Just Run for President?

It’s a question I’ve heard before: “Why go through all this trouble? Why not just run for president? I’d vote for you!”

And, honestly, I appreciate the sentiment. But here’s the truth: Our system isn’t designed to let one person fix everything, no matter how great their ideas might be. The president doesn’t have a magic wand. Even if I—or anyone else—won in a landslide victory, with every voting American behind me, the truth remains: Nothing would get done without Congress.

The Constitution demands collaboration. It requires a Congress willing to act in the people’s best interests, and let’s face it—that’s a rare thing these days. Representatives and senators are entrenched in a system that prioritizes party loyalty, special interests, and maintaining the status quo over genuine reform. A president without a cooperative Congress is like a captain without a crew—steering a ship that doesn’t move.

So, why not take the slow approach? Replace the system bit by bit? Because that doesn’t work either. The system is built to resist gradual change. There are safeguards and roadblocks, mechanisms designed to keep new voices from breaking through. It’s like trying to rebuild a house one shingle at a time while the foundation is crumbling underneath you—it just won’t hold.

The only way forward is bold, focused action. For lack of a better term, it requires an attack—a systematic and strategic plan to overhaul the system from within. Not an attack in the sense of aggression or violence, but a deliberate, well-researched, and legal effort to identify the weak points and the loopholes that have been exploited for too long.

It’s time to unsheath our democracy and wield it in battle. For too long, we’ve been told that the system can’t be changed, that we should accept what we’re given. But democracy is a tool—a weapon of the people—and it’s time we used it the way it was meant to be used: to fight for a government that serves its citizens, not just its powerbrokers.

You might be wondering why I haven’t stepped forward with a full identity, why I’m not making this about me. And the answer is simple: because it’s not about me. People are polarizing. The moment someone’s name or face becomes attached to a movement, it’s no longer about the ideas—it becomes about the person. And that’s not what this is.

This is about the movement. It’s about the theory behind these ideas. It’s about whether the American people feel the same way I do. Because at the end of the day, it doesn’t matter who I am. What matters is whether you believe the same things I believe.

If you want to put a face to this movement, it’s the face of each and every one of us. My face is meant to blend into the crowd, just like yours. Because this movement isn’t about standing out—it’s about standing together.

And if this takes off, it probably won’t be my personality that catches your attention. I’m not the loudest. I’m not the most outspoken. But the point isn’t for me to be the voice. The point is to find people who feel the same passion I do and who can present it with the clarity and confidence I’m still trying to find.

This isn’t about electing one person to fix everything or relying on incremental change that never comes. It’s about all of us coming together, saying enough is enough, and demanding a government that works for us—not against us.
